The story of the Trojan Horse shows betrayal in two ways. First off, when admitting defeat in a war, it was expected that you would provide a gift for the enemy; so by concealing men in this "gift", they betrayed their traditions. Secondly, and more obvious, they betrayed the citizens of Troy by killing all the men and taking the women and children after they said they withdrew from the war. This betrayal is harsh in the way that it involved many deaths, but would be expected seeing as these two nations were at war and all is fair in love and war.
